I was almost sure I would just flat out turn them down. However, I got a call today.
They wanted to know if I had any concerns or whatnot or if he could answer any questions for me. I said that I was concerned about what kind of work I would be doing. He said that they can't really tell me now because what is available is constantly changing and it will be a while before I start. Okay that is fair enough. So I said that my other concern was that I wouldn't know until the spring where my fiance got into grad school and didn't want to commit before that. The guy said he understood and he'd see if he could get the offer extended for me. He also asked if my fiance was also an engineer. Without thinking, I told the truth and said no, instead of stretching the truth. I mean, I'm not exactly an engineer either.
Maybe Josh should apply to an LA grad school after all. Speaking of which, I don't even know what schools are in LA that aren't too awsome (somehow, I don't think Josh applying to CalTech would help the situation much).

Okay, so I am at the Sears website looking at making a wedding registry. They have lots of nice stuff that I can register for, but one of the things near the top of my list is a set or two of new full-sized bed sheets. However, I can't seem to find them! When I finally did a search, I came up with stuff in several categories: Tools, Kids, Electronics, Computer & Office, Kitchen, Toys & Games. Because the only type of bed sheets you would want to ask for for your wedding are crib sheets--that makes a lot or sense... it is almost like the wedding registry department is trying to undermine the baby shower registry department.
I guess it would be inappropriate to ask for sheets. That would imply that we were planning to sleep together. And that would imply that we were going to have sex. I wouldn't want to run the risk of anyone thinking that!
