Everyone woman should have one of these. I'm trying to think of an appropriate product to compare it too, you know, "Best thing since _____," but I simply cannot think of anything awesome enough. (Men probably don't want to know...)
I ordered one about a month ago, and used it for the first time three weeks ago. I had a traumatizing experience with it the first time I used it (the suction REALLY had it in there), but by the end of my cycle, I started getting the hang of it. I'm looking forward to using it each time and being more environmentally friendly!
Are you aware of the menstrual cup community here? Fantastic resource for getting over the bumps in the road at the beginning. It seems like you're getting it, but good to know it's there in case you ever have other questions/problems in the future.
Yeah, I'm aware of it, although I haven't joined. I think I might join, though. My first experience with it was horrific, but thankfully, I PMed riscana about it and she gave me some good tips on how to do it better. I know I'll still have questions, though!
Wow. That's... something I'd never thought of before. And yes, it looks amazingly useful, and far more comfortable than the old solution. (Although the top review when I looked made it sound like there is a very painful learning curve. Maybe having used a diaphragm in the past would make it easier?)
Of course, since about half my use of pads in the past 7 years has been immediately postpartum, I'm not really sure it'd be worth it for me to buy one; I doubt they'd work (or be recommended) then. I'll have to think about this one.
