I had Josh put Rose (my shiny new 'puter) away.  I do not know where she is.  She is gone until at least one (or hopefully both) of the following things happen:
1. I develop some semblance of time management skills that do not revolve around external deadlines.
2. I stop being so damn depressed.  (Depression, I believe, coming from as a direct result of despising myself for not doing anything worth while with my time.)

I will still be keeping up with email and LJ at work... to some limited capacity.  Plus, there is Josh's 'puter, but I'm sure he wont let me spend gobs of time on it.

And there's something a little humorous about the fact that you updated your blog with this information. :-)

So what kind of 'worthwhile' things are you thinking about doing with your time?

Now that i'm all moved to my new place, I need to focus on using my time well also. In the past i've taken classes or worked on art projects in my spare time which has been fun. But recently I've found myself watchin too many movies or too much TV, so when you come up with some other fun alternatives and worthwhile projects, share them here!

Primarily sewing, and maybe some other projects. I made a list today and I have no less than 12 sewing projects that I want to do... some of which are started or I have already purchased the supplies for. There are also a number of cleaning/organizing projects I'd like to get done around our apartment. And I recieved a very nice electric keyboard for Christmas which I would like to actually learn how to play... well, really, I know how to play, I mostly just need gobs of practice... which I'm not getting at my present rate of sitting down at it once every 2 or 3 months. Also, I would like to build some furnature.

The disgusting thing, of course, is that I'm really not busy at all... not even remotely.

While I definitely support changing your activities as a way to decrease depression, you can try eating things, like rice, which have more of the building blocks for Serotonin in them. Since low levels of Serotonin contribute to depression, it may give you the kick start that you need to change your activities. Doing a search for foods with Serotonin building blocks in them, or natural treatments for Seasonal Affective Disorder may be a way to gain variety in your diet, and have a potential positive side effect for your mood, or the physiological aspects of it. (this is not to say that you have SAD, just that being a "little depressed" is similar, and this sort of treatment works well in 80% of women who try it, compared to 60% of those go on meds (depending on the meds) gaining successful results, and there are considerably fewer side effects.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into that.
