The shower went well. They didn't make me do anything embarrassing. We even had a stripper! Well, Karren's baby didn't want to keep her clothes on at any rate. Anyway, it was surprisingly fun, and we got a ton of stuff... well, really, I got a ton of stuff. We also got some things that are actually our wedding gifts early so we wont have to take them on the airplane... which is definitely a good thing. (I should have asked Aunt Mary Beth to tell people that they should get us shower gifts instead of wedding gifts rather than in addition, since we're driving back from this and flying back from the wedding.) I must say though, I'm a bit unimpressed with the registry systems--a lot of the gifts were off the registry, but they haven't been marked as purchased, I'll have to go cross them off.
Right now the surprise party for Josh's grandmother is going on. She's 75 on Monday. The shower and her surprise party were on the same day as the way to lure her over, and she was totally surprised. But I think there are a few too many people out there for my tastes... especially after having been the center of attention for the last 3 hours.
Holy cow, it sounds like an absolute mad house out there. I don't remember if Peggy said there were 60 people coming to this birthday party, or 90. Anyway... yeah... mad house.
