I got a big fat letter from Raytheon today. They want to pay me lots of money to stay in LA. They want me to return the signed acceptance form as soon as possible. The offer is extended to me until December 5th.

I think I'm going to turn them down because I don't want to stay in LA and Cave doesn't think Josh can get into UCLA. But in the mean time, I get to feel good about myself. However, it is going to be hard to turn them down without knowing what else I'm going to be able to find out there.

Well, not only does he think I won't get in, I seem to recall not writing letters to them or getting their forms this weekend. That isn't complete doom, but maybe I should look into some more LA schools...

Congratulations : ) I told you you had a good shot of getting an offer by being invited to the career expo ; ) I totally understand you not wanting to accept it, though. I did only because... well... I didn't have the confidence to believe that I would get any other offers, and Geoff was at least seriously considering UCSD. Anyway, enjoy feeling validated : )
