Evil Southie cracks me up

Evil Southie walks into the lounge and comments that he is bored. He looks at me for a minute and comments that I look bored. I agree that I am. A little bit later he hisses over in the general direction of Josh and the TV that it's Valentine's day. I say something about it being partly my fault because I'd been talking to my parents on the phone when he left. But then I added that he'd been playing Donkey Kong when I'd called my parents. Josh said something vaguely incoherent in his own defense. Evil Southie said "I'm with her." After a moment of silence (Josh wasn't paying enough attention to realize that he aught to respond to that), Evil Southie added something to the effect of, "on the argument that is."

He's a nice guy. I can understand how he makes a lot of the women I know uncomfortable, but in some ways I think that perhaps it is their own fault. Perhaps Brian just doesn't like me, but it didn't take knowing him very long for him to figure out what was okay and what wasn't. He made me a bit uncomfortable at first, but since apparently picking up on what sorts of stuff I wasn't okay with, he hasn't done a thing to make me feel uncomfortable. Pomona Steve’s kind of similar. At first he made me really uncomfortable and I still always expect him to make me feel uncomfortable, but somewhere in there he must have stopped (consciously or not) doing whatever it was that made me so uncomfortable around him.

That's good to hear. I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable- I'd noticed I had that effect, and so tried to ease up on any and all flirting I was doing. Good to know that I've adequately succeeded in not making you feel uncomfortable.
