Alright, so the Venus backpack is clearly a women's pack, and the Mars backpack is clearly a men's pack, but the Saturn backpack? Who is that for? The car?

Sadly all the backpacks which are on sale are extended trip packs. I might someday want to take an extended trip, but there is no possible way I'd be able to carry the pack.

I think if we practiced with shorter trips, you'd be able to manage.

Yes, working up to extended trips is definitely a good idea. BTW, if the two of you are planning a backpacking trip and want some company, do let us know.

or, if we are not available to go with you, and are not planning an outing that week, you could consider borrowing...well...mine anyway. I just bought it last year, it should be easy to adjust to fit you, since we could make it fit Heather and she is a foot shorter than I am. Anyway, I think that I paid an awful lot for it, and am not entirely sure that I use it enough to justify the expense!
