Engaged Encounter
Mar. 14th, 2005 09:20 pmSo I spent like 4 and a half hours writing about our experience at Catholic Engaged Encounter in Chicago yesterday. I didn't get to everything I wanted to talk about, but now I'm realizing that I am unlikely to actually add to it... so I'm just going to post it.
In a nutshell: Engaged Encounter was more enjoyable than I expected, but also less useful than I had expected or hoped.
Watch me try, and probably fail, to keep this organized.
( Warning, over 4 thousand words follow )
I think this program would have been very good for us if we had gone sometime around my junior year and Josh's senior year, during the year or so before we got engaged, when we'd been together for about 2 years so far. Of course, this isn't the fault of the program... different people do things in different orders.
