If the US has the best health care in the world on average, then why is it not among the healthiest 10 countries to be an expecting mother or young child? Why is our infant mortality rate so much higher than in Canada, Japan, and western Europe? Why is our life expectancy shorter?

Why doesn't the average American know this? Or does the average American know this?
