Still alive in Livermore

Well, it's been a long time since I've posted anything. Josh and I are still alive up here in Livermore. The apartment is really nice, it makes me almost wish I'd found something less nice for less money. I guess I mostly say that because I'm not working yet so I still feel poor. Plus there is this inconvenient problem that I tore up the sheet of paper my PIN number was on after committing it to memory. Then I proceeded to not use my PIN number for a couple weeks and, of course, forgot it. I can't get it changed without my card returning to Oregon. Fortunately Josh still has the ability to buy stuff, but I don't like being cut off from my debit card.

It's really hot up here (90s at least) but the AC works great. My laptop was supposed to arrive on Saturday or Monday, so I'm kind of worried about it. My parents suggested that I go to the post office, since maybe instead of delivering it to the apartment office when it didn't fit in the mailbox, it might have gone back to the post office and be waiting for me there. I'm going to go check on that after Josh gets up and I eat breakfast. Hopefully it is there, the other likely possibility seems to be that it was stolen.

I've been kind of enjoying the nice slow pace of life around here with nothing to do, but it has actually been a little bit boring. I need to start a project of some sort and I will be a lot happier.

No Laptop Yet

The lady at the post office was kind of rude. I mean, of course we didn't have anything waiting for us at the post office because we didn't have a little slip of paper telling us to come pick it up. Of course those little pieces of paper are never lost and never blow away before they get to the intended recipiant. I'm bummed out. I want my computer. I want to be able to watch movies and play games and stuff. I want to know that I'm going to get something for my $1100. Fortunately it was insured, but this still sucks because I am still computerless. Hopefully it will show up soon, but the odds of that are getting low, especially as there is a 3-day weekend coming up.

We made the yummy Buca tortelloni sauce the day before yesterday and tonight we get to eat more of that. That sound like more fun that wanking about not having my computer yet. However, it sounds less fun than getting my computer already.
